Will Greene

Biography: 

Will Greene is founder and CEO of The Illumination Youth Empowerment Corporation, a non-profit organization that focuses on effecting positive change and direction in the lives of youth and young adults.  He is a product of the “At-Risk” environment and utilizes his experiences to relate to young people everywhere.  The goal is always to build healthy individuals, which leads to healthy families and eventually healthy communities…..by shining HIS light in dark places.

Greene has been a successful mentor, coach (Football, Baseball, & AAU Basketball), and youth advocate for nearly 20 years.  Will Greene is married to Tamikia Greene of Charlotte, NC; together they have a family and served as therapeutic foster parents for over 10 years. Greene is a licensed and ordained Minister at New Birth-Charlotte under the leadership of Bishop Terrel L. Murphy, and currently works as a Technology Delivery Manager for a Charlotte-based financial institution.

Greene earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Information Systems from DeVry University, a Master’s Certification in Project Management from George Washington University School of Business and Public Management, a Master of Science in Leadership and Organizational Change  from Pfeiffer University, and he is currently pursuing a  Master of Arts in Christian Education (12/20011) from Pfeiffer University.

Will Greene was born in Santee, SC the oldest of 4 children, and grew up in the housing projects of Asheville, NC.  He has a passion for working with “At-Risk” youth and young adults and utilizes his life experiences to inspire them to strive for excellence in their lives, break negative cycles, and to lead by example.

Greene has developed, written, and currently facilitates  several workshops and cirriculums including "Worship Transiton, Equipping Teens for the Journey from Youth Church to the Main Sanctuary".  He  is currently writing 2 books entitled “The Drive-Thru Woman” (formerly The McDonald's Woman)…a guide to establishing self-esteem and standards for young women and dating……. and “ The Cool Christian” …you can be young, cool, and SAVED.
