Derek Bullard is the founder and CEO of Access Family Services and Compass Adult Care, Inc. Access Family Services and Compass Adult Care provides a continuum of health care and mental health services to children, families and adults in 14 counties throughout North Carolina. Access Family Services and Compass Adult Care is nationally accredited by CARF (The Council on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities). In both 2007 and 2008 Access Family Services made the prestigious Inc. Magazine-Inc.5000 list as one of America’s fastest growing privately held companies. Derek also founded and owns Randolph Management Group, LLC, a real estate property management firm.

Derek and his family have been actively involved with several charitable efforts including Jack and Jill Foundation, Communities in Schools, The National Black Child Development Institute and Safe Journey. In 2007 Derek started a scholarship fund for the "Safe Journey" program designed to assist teenage moms with attending college. Through the "Randolph and Carolyn Bullard Scholarship Foundation", Derek and his companies have donated over $15,000 in financial aid for three teenage moms and donated 20 new laptop computers for teen moms needing assistance with college equipment. Derek’s passion for working with at-risk youth began during his work as a foster parent and has continued throughout his career.

Derek was born and raised in Charlotte North Carolina and has a BS in Psychology from Thomas Edison State College. Derek and his wife LaVondria continue to reside in Charlotte and have three children.
